Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Shincliffe CE Primary School, we are dedicated to nurturing the emotional health and wellbeing of every pupil and member of staff. We recognise that life brings challenges for us all, and that at times we may each need additional care, understanding and support.

We aim to:

  • Help children to understand their emotions and feelings better
  • Help children feel comfortable sharing any concerns or worries
  • Support children in developing and sustaining positive social relationships.
  • Promote self-esteem and ensure children know they are valued
  • Encourage children to grow in confidence and embrace their individuality
  • Help children strengthen their emotional resilience and respond positively to difficulties and setbacks.
